To grasp what Wushu is and what it means to the students, here are some answers directly from the students!
Lu Ying Xiong: Too hard; quit. Knowledge over power.
Da Feng (Coach): Intense, Spiritual, Exciting
Hu Re Qing: Life, Discipline, Empowering
Lu Huang Yue: The most deceptively beautiful and dangerous art of the body.
Yue Mao Mi: Acrobatic, flexible, family-like environment.
Long (Sifu): War, Weapons, Beauty

Houwangzi (Coach): Ming Jing Sheng (Bright Essence Spirit)
Yu Feng Yu: Wushu is life.

Kevin Toma: Like trees, ever-growing and sturdy. Like fire, passionate and intense. Like earth, balanced and strong. Like metal, sharp and precise. Like water, graceful and limber. The ways of Wushu. The art of war.
Sasha Streeter: Skillful, Elegant, and Powerful
Mike Tan (Coach): Jing Sheng Qi
Krista Lawless (Sibling): Unique, honorable, exciting, defies gravity.
Deborah Lawless (Parent): Mental and physical discipline and conditioning. Dynamic motions. Wushu is hard, keep practicing!
Katrina Biet: Mind, Body, and Spirit.
Chris Brown: Pretty much one of the greatest and most fascinating things I have ever learned and done.
Chris Bagby: The most important thing I have to tell you is that it is NOT karate. It is a lifestyle, flexibility, acrobatics, jumping, fighting, peaceful, culture, and most importantly it is art! The benefits of Wushu extend far beyond self-defense, it provides increased flexibility, jumping height, and health as well as keeps the mind calm, is a great way of keeping in shape, increases cultural awareness and gives you a hobby that is addicting and fun. Jade Moon Wushu Academy has become a family to me. It is what you make it and your skill depends on your motivation and practice. We would LOVE LOVE LOVE for people to come to try up to THREE free classes or simply just to watch.
